The objective of this research project is to find the physical processes that cause mobilization and migration of different UXO on the seafloor. Within this project, the already known approaches shall be applied to the sea region of Vattenfall’s wind farms Horns Rev 3, Vesterhav Syd and Vesterhav Nord in the North Sea in cooperation with TenneT TSO. It should also be analysed if the known approaches can be applied on Vattenfall’s wind farms DanTysk, Sandbank and Horns Rev 1. |
Furthermore, this study shall investigate the special and individual situation in Vattenfall’s regions of interest (ROI) and the occurring physical processes. Those processes shall be identified in order to define the future work, which is required to improve the model for Vatenfalls ROI, e.g., to extend it to shallow waters. Furthermore, the project shall define the necessary experimental work that should be done in future projects to validate the model for mobilization of UXO on the seafloor. Besides this a strategy, how to investigate the trajectories and distances of a mobilized object shall be developed.
